Google is preparing this Tuesday for its great event Made by Google, in which among other things, the presentation of the new Pixel 4 is expected. In recent weeks there have been many advances and leaks that leave little to the imagination to know how the new Google Smartphone will be.
The one that is promised as the new flagship model of the company will arrive in two versions, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 X L. They arrive as successors of the mid-range devices Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL, which have worked well at the sales level and thanks especially to your camera. So Google is expected to bet on improvements in this area in its new device.
With Pixel 4 Google will have to compete with Apple’s iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, which feature enhanced camera features such as night mode, and also with Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S10 and Note 10.
Motion sensors and facial unlocking
The new Pixel will arrive equipped with the sixth and last beta update for Android Q, now officially known as Android 10. When Google introduced this update, it also “leaked” information from the Pixel 4 that makes waiting for a face unlock function and motion detection capabilities.
Specifically, in July a video and a blog post was released that shows that the Pixel 4 will have a Soli radar chip, which makes facial unlocking, online similar to Apple’s Face ID. Apparently, the function will be secure enough to verify digital payments.
This chip can also detect movement and allows you to “skip songs, postpone alarms and silence phone calls” with just a simple hand movement.
The devices will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and the so-called Pixel Neural Core, a system that will reinforce the processor on issues such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. The Pixel 4 will have 6 GB of RAM, 64 or 129 GB of storage, as well as stereo speakers, USB-C port, a 12 MP sensor and a 16MP sensor with 2x telephoto lens.
In relation to the camera, it could include multiple rear cameras enclosed in a block housing. The device will feature a new “Motion” mode that will allow you to capture sharp and focused images of subjects that move quickly, and will have an enhanced night mode.
According to The Verge, Google could present at the event today a version of Pixel 4 with 5G. In 9to5Google they assure that the initial price of the Pixel 4XL could be of 999 dollars.
Other news from Google
Beyond Pixel 4, Google is expected to present today a whole new line of smart home products, from the Google Nest Mini to the Google Nest Wifi. Likewise, the new Chromebook and truly wireless headphones, the Pixel Buds 2, are also expected to be introduced.
